Title: Cybersecurity Analyst                   

Location: Washington, DC Metro Area

Clearance: TS/SCI w/polygraph

Overview:

Invictus is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Analyst to provide cybersecurity and information assurance (IA) support on a range of activities including: assessment planning/analysis/reporting, cyber incident response, system vulnerability tracking/categorization/mitigation, and analysis of network or system changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide defense-wide situational awareness and attack sensing and warning through fusion, analysis and coordinated information flows
  • Conduct threat and vulnerability analysis
  • Perform network traffic analysis
  • Conduct security threat reviews and countermeasure determination
  • Review security impact and response to Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) and security patches
  • Centrally coordinate and/or recommend CND operations
  • De-conflict Vulnerability Analysis and Assessments (VAA) and Red Team activities with CND operations
  • Conduct CONOPS planning and testing activities
  • Develop disaster recovery plans
  • Demonstrate technical understanding in some of the following areas: network communication using TCP/IP protocols, routing protocols, DNS, basic system administration, basic understanding of malware communication installation or malware types, or intermediate knowledge of computer network defense operations (proxy, firewall, IDS/IPS, router/switch, or open source information collection)

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred along with 5+ years of experience within Cybersecurity or IT security management
  • Experience with security analysis, vulnerability management and reporting, risk analysis, and readiness and strategic planning analysis
  • Superior critical and logical thinking skills
  • Experience working within the Intelligence Community and priority intelligence requirements
  • Ability to review and implement government guidance including task orders, directives, STIGS, or IAVAs to ensure the security posture of the network
  • Experience with performing host or network incident response and analysis
  • Previous experience working with ArcSight, Splunk, PCAP, JIMS or equivalent toolsets
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to support system documentation
  • Experience in an Operations Center providing Senior Leaders specified reports based on information received from supporting units
  • Security+ CE and ITIL v3 certifications required; CCSA certification preferred
  • Candidates must be a US citizen with a current TS/SCI w/polygraph clearance
