Title: Security Engineer   

Location: Washington, DC    

Clearance: Public Trust, with the ability to obtain at TS/SCI

Responsibilities:

  • Develops an understanding of system architecture to support the security assessments needed for the investment analysis process
  • Develop the investment analysis artifacts related to security requirements needed to support executive decision making
  • Analyze government security requirements and assist in the recommendation/selection of security controls for systems
  • Participates in senior technical exchange meetings, providing expert-level cyber security advice on behalf of the group manager
  • Provides consulting and advisory services to project teams, operations and engineering teams to ensure data solutions are aligned with the business direction, to determine data requirements and to provide advice as well as directly assist in the analysis, design, and implementation of initiatives and projects
  • Manages large complex systems, acquisition projects for major functional areas
  • Plans, develops and supports programs/projects
  • Establishes objectives and requirements
  • Adapts and applies applicable technical, administrative, financial and business processes and procedures
  • Develops program/project budgets, standards, and schedules
  • Directly participates and coordinates with the highest echelons and authority on all matters pertinent to the successful implementation of the program or functional area
  • Employs a high degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment to plan, organize, and guide complex programs for which approaches and precedents may be unclear or non-existent
  • Perform all relative duties as assigned

 Requirements:

  • A Doctorate in engineering with 10 yrs. of experience, a Master's of Science degree in engineering with 15 yrs. of experience, or a Bachelor's of Science degree in engineering with 20 yrs. of experience is required
  • Must demonstrate highly technical and managerial expertise and be fully knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of cyber security programs, systems, and related functional areas (i.e. securing air traffic and flight operations data analysis, pilot and air traffic controller information processing, systems engineering, network engineering, business process reengineering, specialty engineering, human factor risks and mitigation strategies, reliability and maintainability, systems security, acquisition management, organizational planning, financial management, acquisition logistics, and program management)
  • CISSP, CISM, CASP and/or GCIH certification preferred
  • Qualified candidates must be a US citizen with a current Public Trust background, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
