Title: Industrial Security Officer

Location: Alexandria, VA

Clearance: TS/SCI w/the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in daily security activities and enforce government and company security policies
  • Create secure and compliant environments for both proprietary and classified spaces
  • Facilitate all facets of personnel security in support of classified personnel processing
  • Administer and monitor personnel security activities in JPAS, DISS, etc.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing security clearance and access visit authorizations, classified meeting requirements, and company and client badging requirements
  • Maintain all required personnel security records in compliance with company security manual and government procedures
  • Assist with the security education, training and awareness program
  • Serve as the COMSEC account alternate; serve as a POC for facility alarm response
  • Investigate security infractions and violations as necessary
  • Assist in generating and updating required security plans, procedures, and instructions
  • Provide guidance on SCIF operations in areas of access control, classified visits, incident reporting, self-inspection, classified document control, records management etc.
  • Maintain working relationships with government agencies/sponsors, program staff, and company personnel

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in security management or related field required with 3-5 years' experience in a personnel security role within the DoD or IC
  • Completion of CDSE FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities curriculum (or equivalent) is required with the ideal candidate possessing other industry certifications
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, to include Publisher, Project, and Flow
  • Superior attention to detail is a must to ensure security protocols are followed
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required, with the ability to interact with personnel on all levels of the organization
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and multi-task on a variety of projects; must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of business continuity programs including planning and training
  • Familiarization of SCIF operations and required security oversight
  • Experience with personnel security government databases such as JPAS, DISS, and SCI nominations through ACCS
  • Current TS/SCI clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph
